Our local green thumbs

Local growers are our green thumbs. We rely on them to provide the very best of their floral specimens, knowing it’s their specialty. Buying flowers and plants grown locally also ensures that the quality of the blooms you take home are long-lasting and look great.

Oregon Flowers in Aurora delivers seasonal cut flowers throughout the year, including peonies, hydrangeas, hyacinths, giant allium, bearded iris and daffodils. The Meskers family launched Oregon Flowers back in 1985, starting with tulip bulbs from their native homeland of Holland. Enjoy their seasonal cut flowers in our stores from mid-May through October.

Fessler Nursery in Woodburn is an 850,000 square feet greenhouse space offering spring annual bedding plants, hanging baskets, fuchsias, poinsettias and houseplants to your local Market. With roots in the Willamette Valley, Ken and Marie Fessler began growing quality plants on their Woodburn farm in 1960.

Since 1982, Peoria Gardens in Albany has been growing quality greenhouse plants. We enjoy sharing their diverse range of annuals and perennials, which include mixed baskets and seasonal floral favorites. Look for beautiful begonias, cosmos, nasturtium, pansies, snapdragons sunflowers and zinnias, just to name a few.

Other key local suppliers include Pitcher Lane in Cottage Grove, which delivers beautiful potted delphiniums and exotic begonias to our stores; and Blackberry Hill in Leaburg, which grows bundles of fragrant organic lavender.

Need a beautiful bouquet to bring to that certain someone or the host or hostess of an upcoming party? Find premade bouquets or order a custom bouquet to truly impress. Nothing says “you’re special” better than a bouquet of fresh flowers.

Extending the life of cut flowers is as simple as cutting the stems before putting them in water. Use the provided packet of flower food, then change the water and recut the stems every couple of days. Periodically remove dead flowers and extra or soggy leaves, too.
