Blossom Barn Cidery

Blossom Barn Cidery – Grants Pass

Blossom Barn Cidery, makers of pear-based ciders called perries, is located in the Applegate Valley of southern Oregon, where pears have been commercially harvested since the 1880s. Hear how co-owners Erin Chaparro and Jeremy Hall have built on that longstanding farming tradition to craft one-of-a-kind effervescent perries. Lighter than apple-based ciders, Blossom Barn Cidery perries are aged in French oak barrels for six months. Enjoy Front Porch Perry, made only with pears, and Cherry Perry, featuring sour cherries and pears. Look for Blossom Barn Cidery perries at your Market Beer & Wine Shop and celebrate the terroir of southern Oregon.

Bierly

Bierly Brewing – McMinnville

For those of us who must stick to the path of gluten-free foods and drink, even when we are wanting to enjoy a delicious, well-crafted beer, Bierly Brewing of McMinnville has a lineup that is all gluten-free, made in a dedicated gluten-free facility. Owners John Paul “JP” and Amanda Bierly craft their brews using traditional styles, making Felix Pilsner, Lucky IPA, Rendezvous Double IPA, Baker Street Porter, Blackbird Stout, and a variety of seasonals, all of which are available at all Market of Choice locations. Family-owned since 2016, Bierly Brewing has its roots in JP’s home brewing with gluten-free ingredients as far back as 2006. He wasn’t diagnosed with gluten intolerance, or celiac disease, until 2010, but by then he was well on his way in understanding the right ingredients to produce Bierly’s gluten-free beers. Following an internship with Heater Allen Brewing in McMinnville, JP launched Bierly Brewing, first inside the Eats & Treats Café in Philomath, then moving to McMinnville in 2018. That’s when Amanda came on board as a business partner and the tasting room chef.
