Since 1986, Evesham Wood has been quietly shaping what great Oregon wine can be. Founded by Russ Rainey, this Willamette Valley pioneer helped lead the way in organic winegrowing long before it was the norm, with estate vineyards and winemaking practices certified organic in the early 2000s.
Tucked into the windswept Eola-Amity Hills, their original vineyard, Le Puits Sec, is home to some of the region’s oldest vines, producing wines that carry the unmistakable energy of this cool, coastal-influenced corner of Oregon. Russ believed great wine starts in the vineyard, and that true character comes from letting nature lead. That philosophy lives on through dry-farming practices and a deep commitment to organic growing across their vineyards, including Torres Hill.
Today, under winemaker Erin Nuccio (handpicked by Russ to carry the torch), Evesham Wood continues to craft thoughtful, expressive wines that reflect each season and each site. It’s a legacy rooted in authenticity, shaped by time, and still growing strong.
