Maybe you want to tuck a note in your loved one’s lunch box. Or maybe you want to put a playful sticker on a notebook or hang up a truly special wall calendar right where the family can see beautiful art and be inspired.
Megan Marie Myers Art adapts original canvas paintings to create a variety of gift items and keepsakes that reflect her imaginative art. Among them are gorgeous greeting cards, postcards, stickers and calendars, which can be found in the Home & Gift section of your Market. A painter, illustrator and native Oregonian, Megan’s artwork is inspired by the outdoors and the connection we have to our natural surroundings and to each other.
Whimsical mountains, forests, deserts, rock formations, oceans, rivers – all are present in Megan’s art. Her human characters and animals radiate with innocence and a sense of wonder. They journey through the outdoors, exploring themes of companionship, protection, wilderness and the greatest adventure of all, love.
“My vision is to cultivate connection between all people and nature through art,” explains Megan, who spends a lot of time in the outdoors, trail running with her partner, Matt, and their border collie, Smokey, where they live in Bend.
“Contemplating nature so regularly and observing it so lovingly and carefully fills my creative tank to the brim. I believe that running and being in the outdoors has shaped me into an artist who can truly honor nature in my work and encourage the protection of it.”
That commitment is both in concept and in action. Megan donates 1%of her annual gross sales directly to local environmental nonprofits as a proud business member of 1% for the Planet. And her paper products are all produced locally, in Bend.
That local community connection extends to Market of Choice. “I am personally connected with each store that orders from me, and it feels like we all take great care to work as true partners.”
Check out Megan’s artwork the next time you’re looking for that perfect gift. Her delightful designs are sure to please adventurers, explorers, kids and kids-at-heart.
