This sweet cider glaze is perfect for your holiday ham and includes just a few simple ingredients – brown sugar, apple cider, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard and seasonings – that pack a tasty punch of flavor when combined.
Ingredients
1¾ c brown sugar
¾ c apple cider
1/3 c cider vinegar
1/3 c Dijon mustard
pinch each of salt and cloves
Steps
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer, cooking gently 10 min until well dissolved. Chill until ready to use.
To Glaze Ham:
Cook ham covered according to package directions for 80% of recommended cook time.
Uncover and baste repeatedly, every 5 minutes for remainder of cook time until ham reaches 140° internal temp (for precooked hams).
