Founded in 2010 by pastry chef Faith Dionne, the mission of Bees & Beans has always been simple: craft handmade artisan candy using Portland’s finest ingredients. Each delectable bar is an elevated take on the classic candy bars we’re all familiar with, replacing cheap candy coating with domestic dark chocolate and sweetened with a generous helping of real local honey throughout. In 2016, Faith passed the company on to her candy producer, Andrea Marks, who soon opened a production facility with a quaint storefront in the historic St. John’s neighborhood of Portland. Staying true to Faith’s vision, Queen Bee Andrea continues to craft each delectable candy bar with the finest, locally sourced ingredients, and focused attention to detail.
