When siblings Todd Koch, Marc Koch, and Shauna Koch Garza fell in love with their 4-H cows, they decided to turn that affection into an immersive dairy farm experience. In addition to producing delicious single-cow cheese, ice cream, and even vodka made from a milk byproduct, the family-owned creamery opens its barn doors to the public every weekend. Visitors can pet the cows and calves, tour the milking parlor, and watch Shauna make cheese through the tasting room window.
At the heart of this family-run operation is the health and well-being of its “cow-lebrities.” A nutritious diet and comfortable living conditions help the cows produce rich, high-quality milk, which is collected twice daily, made into cheese, and brought to market within 24 hours of milking.
While a visit to TMK Creamery in Canby is well worth the drive, cheese lovers can also find tubs of its delicious cheese curds in the Specialty Cheese department at Market of Choice.
