Barbecue, Bacon and Cheddar Sliders

Just right for get-togethers, these meaty, cheesy sliders can be served with your favorite Market Kitchen sides, salads, chips, fresh fruit and more.


Sweet Chili BBQ Sauce
1 c ketchup
1 c chili sauce
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c water
1 T each chili powder, Spanish paprika, soy sauce, butter, lemon juice and liquid smoke
1/2 t garlic powder
1 t onion powder

Slider Patties
1 1/2 lbs Painted Hills ground beef (15% fat)
2 t garlic, minced
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 t fresh black pepper, ground

Slider assembly
8 slider buns (available in your Market Bakery), lightly grilled *
4 slices cheddar cheese, cut in half
1 yellow onion, sliced and grilled
4 slices bacon, cooked and quartered
1 c Sweet Chili BBQ Sauce


Sweet Chili BBQ Sauce
Combine all ingredients on the stovetop over med heat. Simmer on low for 20 min. Chill and serve over sliders.

Slider Patties
Combine ingredients well. Divide into 3 oz portions and shape into small, flat patties (approx. 8). Grill quickly over med-high heat for about 2-3 min per side.

Slider assembly
Top each burger with cheddar and melt briefly. Place burgers on toasted buns and divide onions, bacon and barbecue sauce among them. Top with buns and serve with pickles on the side.

Chef’s Tip: Sliders are simple, hot mini-sandwiches that can be made with endless combinations of your favorite foods. Try them with buffalo, turkey, pulled pork, seafood or veggies at your next cookout.
